December?!

When did that happen? Wow.

So I don't know about the rest of you, but I had a great Thanksgiving! It was quite relaxing and very good to see my family and friends again. It was also fun having my floormate, Georgia home with me. Highlights of the past week include getting a wireless connection in our house (even though we don't have wireless), Thanksgiving dinner and parade, getting to hear my niece's heartbeat, seeing my Grandpapa looking great, sleeping in, and getting our christmas tree. Yeah, it was all good!

But now the fun is over, at least for the next three weeks. I've got so much homework, assignments, presentations, papers, and studying (not to mention finals) coming up, it's gonna be insane! I have a feeling I'm going to have to lock myself in my room and not come out until I go home. Actually, once I get through the next week and a half, it might not be so bad. Just pray that I get everything done that needs to be done, study and do well on my finals, and not to get too overwhelmed by everything (and getting some rest would be nice too!)

But I am hoping to have some fun too. I'm looking forward to all of the activities coming up this month. From christmas concerts to gift exchanges to just hanging out with my friends, it should be really cool!

Eeek! I'm so excited that it's December! I love Christmas: the music, the decorations, the food, the snow, and most importantly celebrating the birth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ! Like I said before, it's all good!

Craziness!

Sometimes I feel like all this stuff will never slow down! There's so much going on, it's insane.

The play went really well. It was such a blast! Thursday night went pretty well, despite some nerves and a few technical difficulties. Friday's show was great. There were a couple mess ups, but the audience was fantastic. maybe that's because Mom and Dad were there!  It was really fun to hang out with them. We spent some time together before the show, and went to Walmart afterwards. The next day we went out to Olive Garden and I took them to a few places in downtown Bluffton. Good times! Saturday's show was awesome too (another great audience), and Sunday's was pretty good (I don't think anyone messed up, but the audience was a little slow). I'll miss doing the show, but it was pretty exhausting so I'm glad its over. Now I have so much free time! But I feel like I'll never get all that makeup off.

And if you haven't heard already, I'll let you know that Justin and I are no longer going out. We've decided just to be friends for now. Don't worry, I'm fine (a little bummed out, but fine). To make a long story short, he told me that he wasn't sure if he liked me as more than a friend or not, and didn't want to continue the relationship if he didn't know. He didn't want to have it continue if it was going to blow up in our faces, and then we couldn't be friends anymore. He's had that happen before, and he didn't want to sacrifice our friendship like that. I was a bit disappointed, but glad that he was honest with me. And I'd rather have his friendship for the long run rather than continue to date him, and have a really bad break up and not be able to be friends anymore. So bottom line is we're just friends and we're both okay.

So now I'm sick. Blah!  I started feeling bad yesterday, and by the afternoon I felt terrible. So I went to the campus doctor this morning. I have a fever and what looks like the beginning of a sinus infection. He prescribed me some meds, so hopefully that will do the trick. I'm really tired, my nose has either been stuffy or extremely runny. My throat feels a little funny, but it's not sore. I'm also very achy. I skipped my last class yesterday, and am planning on not going to any of them today (with not feeling well and having a fever and all). So please pray for a speedy recovery! I'm just thankful that it came when it did. The play is over with, and Thanksgiving isn't for two more weeks.

I can't wait for Thanksgiving break! I wish it were here already, I am so ready for it. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and doing a little relaxing. I'm also planning on bringing one of my floormates home with me, so that should be fun! I love Thanksgiving, and I can't wait to get in that holiday spirit!

So till next time...

So much college...so little time...

Wow. I don't even know where to start. So many things have been going on, are going on, and will be going on that if I put down everything, the internet would probably break down! But anyway, I'll try to keep y'all updated as much as possible.

So let's see, what has been going on in the past three weeks? Two weeks ago I saw Justin and some others that I know perform in an awesome choral concert. Last week was Spiritual Life Week, so they had a bunch of neat events. Some of the ones I went to included a cookie party, a neat chapel service, battle of the air bands, and a block party. The air band competition was awesome. I fully plan on participating in that next year! The block party was really fun too. I carved my first pumpkin, and bobbed for apples. Sunday night was especially fun. They had an event called "The Scary Side of Mosiman". It was a low-key fun performance type thing held at Mosiman Hall. It was mostly Halloween-themed, and included several musical performances (many of them humorous), funny skits, improv performances (which I got to participate in last minute!), a drag contest (ooh, that was scary!), and a pie-in-the-face auction (we got to bid on pies to throw in professor's faces!). Here's some pics:

Getting ready to perform one of the musical pieces...

Hilarious music-themed skits!

Justin displays his music conducting skills Harry Potter style! (ask me to tell the story behind this sometime)

The improv group gets ready to perform...

It's always unpredictable! (I guess that's why they call it improv)

So what's been happening lately? Well I've had tons of homework, and a lot that needs to get caught up on. I have a lot of assignments to do. I also had two out of three of my midterm exams last week. I don't know how I did on the Human Ecology exam , but I got a 95 for First Year Seminar! I'm doing well in all of my classes (FYS seems to be my best and English my worst at the moment). Overall, I'm liking my classes though.

I've also really been enjoying all of the spiritual activities that we have every week. There's church on Sunday (I've been going to Justin's and I like it), R Life (our bible study for the girls on 2nd Annex), chapel on Thursday mornings, and Sunday Night Worship (which we have every other week) which is probably my favorite of the four.

Along with academics, I have been devoting a good part of my time to our school play which premieres next Thursday! I'm super excited about it. It's a lot of work, but I think its gonna be great!

But with all of this busyness, I can't say my social life has been hurt any! I have a great group of friends here at Bluffton. Sometimes I'm amazed by the fact that 8 weeks ago, we were total strangers. We've all grown so close! And of course, I can't leave out my boyfriend! We've now been dating for three and a half weeks, and have been having a great time together. He's a sweetie, even if he is a little crazy!

So, here's what the next two weeks look like (and then I'll shut up, I promise!) Classes and play practice. An essay due in English and a midterm exam in Retail. Tick-or-Treating this weekend. Play performances Nov. 5-8th. Mom and dad come to visit. Hanging out with friends, doing homework, and trying to fit eating and sleeping in there too, And whatever else comes my way! Please pray that i don't get overwhelmed by all of this stuff. It's a lot to do!

Thanks for reading this, you must be very patient!

Love and miss all of you!

Homecoming and stuff (like my boyfriend!)

Yup. As you all should know by now, I have a boyfriend! His name is Justin McCall, and he's super cool. I like him a lot. He's very nice, funny, and cute ("which a young man ought likewise to be, if he possibly can. His character is thereby complete." - Pride and Prejudice).

So that's been really fun, along with hanging out hanging out with my other crazy friends. We've had many more adventure over the last couple of weeks. Playing Red Rover and tag at 11:00 in the rain, having "study parties" (more party than study),watching movies, and lots of Ramen!

Last week was homecoming. And of course there was a dance! I was really excited about it, cause I had never been to a dance before and Justin asked me to go with him. I was also excited to get all dressed up! As soon as I heard we could dress up a little if we wanted to, I immediately remembered the dress that Jen gave me last year. So when I went home for fall break, I picked that and some silver heels up to bring back. It was fun getting all dolled up. Here's some pics:

LOVE this dress! Thanks Jen!

Fine lookin' ladies!

006

I know, we're so cute!

014

You can see why I'm attracted to this guy, can't you?

015

Thought this was gonna be a nice picture. But at the last second Justin stuck his finger up my nose! Silly boy.

I wish I had more pics, but I was kind of dancing the whole time (which was a blast!). But I'm still waiting for a few more pics that my friends need to upload onto Facebook, so we'll see...

Anyway, I'm having a terrific time at college! I love it!
